Reblog if you would watch a Disney movie with a homosexual protagonist.

  • No subtext.
  • No alluding.
  • No “they-could-possibly-be-gay”.

Full-blown, love interest is the same gender, out and proud, homosexual protagonist.

(HUGE bonus points for poc who aren’t background characters and not animals for the majority of the movie)

Watch the video of this incredible advert

okay but if you see a homeless person begging for money do not give it to them

donate to a trustworthy, non-profit shelter/center

many homeless people have developed addictions to drugs or alcohol to cope with the position they are in and might spend the money in the wrong places

if you donate money to a shelter/center they will spend it in the right places and they will be able to get more for your dollars and get more food, water, and other resources because a lot of these centers/ charities  are affiliated with companies that with give them discounts

Nah, I call bullshit.

I mean, donating to shelters is also more effective, (although check to make sure they don’t discriminate against lgbtq people) but you give a homeless mother 5 bucks, she’s gonna buy some food. And if you give a homeless person who doesn’t have kids a little cash and they buy some beer with it, so fucking what? If it’s a gift, you shouldn’t place constraints on what someone can and can’t do with it. It’s their goddamn choice and telling people to never give to homeless people in case they MIGHT be an addict? How fucking moralizing and self righteous does that get?

My dad is an addict. If he weren’t in prison at the moment he would probably be on the streets. If you think that you SHOULDN’T give someone money because they MIGHT be an addict you can seriously just unfollow me and fuck off right fucking now. Addiction is a disease and frankly if you’re on the streets and not eating regularly alcohol makes you feel full longer and won’t make you puke like food will - and until you have been on the street you can’t know which choice you’d make. A little comfort sometimes goes a long way.

Not only that, but withdrawal can be incredibly dangerous and possibly deadly if it’s done without medical supervision. Even if a person has a more mild withdrawal period, being that sick out on the streets makes a person incredibly vulnerable which is another factor that makes it dangerous. For some people doing drugs is safer and healthier than going without and going into withdrawal alone on the streets.

Basically what I’m saying is, don’t refuse to give money to the homeless and poor and then use “Well they’ll just buy drugs with it” as an excuse. Life isn’t black and white. Drugs are not always an issue of morality.

I don’t give a rat fuck what they buy with it.  It’s not my business.

You know what is my business?  Giving five or ten bucks’ worth of comfort now and then.  I don’t care if it DOES go to drugs.  Addiction and alcoholism are illnesses.  When you refuse to help people who are ill just because you think they are weak for having that illness … you realize how that makes you look, right?

The so-called “pro-life” movement’s philosophy.

One of the best political cartoons that I’ve seen.

You know what pisses me off about this?  Really, REALLY pisses me off?  That’s George (H.W.) Bush holding that umbrella.  He was president 1981-1989.  Do you get that?
It means that the right have not budged an inch on their ridiculous pro-foetus, anti-actual-persons position in THIRTY GODDAMN YEARS. We should not still be having this argument! Thirty year old political cartoons should be bafflingly opaque, not crystal clear!

^ Reblogging again for that comment.

Listen, I’m all for the sentiment, but George H. W. Bush was vice president from 1980-1988 under Ronald Reagan, and president from 1988-1992 (modulo the fact that presidents take office the year after they’re elected, so it’s 1981-1989 and 1989-1993, technically). But, of course, the principle is still the same, as it’s been rather more than 30 years since the position has…well, actually, has there ever been a time when conservatives were not opposed to abortion in America? If not, then it’s probably been over 200 years. Not that that makes things any better—quite the opposite, in fact.
Of course, their opinions don’t necessarily need to change: their numbers do. And in that regard, I think we’re doing all right. Things are, slowly but surely, improving. We just need to keep on pushing.

Art dump part 4
okay story time
so my art teacher assigned us to do a chalk pastel still life of fruits n shit and I was like “no”
so I drew a banana instead.
and my teacher came by like “you need to have more than one fruit in your still life”
so I was like “k”
and so I put that cherry on top of the banana and titled it “Banana Split Without The Ice Cream Because Life Is Full Of Disappointments: By Fall Out Boy" and I turned that shit in.
My art teacher just started laughing out loud in the middle of class

I would buy this and hang it in my dining room. I would.

You know all those wonderful Conservative parents who proceed to abandon, kick out, or cut off their children for any reason (including, but not limited to a child’s sexuality)?
Well here we go:

#john barrowman is having none of your misogynist bullshit

i love that barrowman’s response also distances him from the contestant
"hahahaha women do laundry right john?  you with me, john?"
"don’t lump me in with you, you fucking martian”

This is what I’m talking about when I keep saying that men have to deny the endorsement. This guy wanted Barrowman’s tacit support or agreement for his sexism, as part of bonding through humour. John went nope.

Bolding mine.

I hope I live long enough to attain even a tenth of Barrowman’s “you fucking martian” face.
